Why is it the majority of the American political right seem to be regressing into a mass of ill-informed, woefully ignorant idiots whose beliefs appear to be laced with a more than healthy dose of malice?
My comments on current current affairs:
Super Tuesday - There’s nothing super about picking which candidate you hate the least
Rush Limbaugh - Rush Limbaugh has always been a douche, even I know that and I’m English.
North Korea - Food Not Bombs, the kid with the undercut makes the right decision
Syria - The Arab league isn’t powerless it’s just spineless, go in and stop it.
Iran - Israel will attack Iran, it’s inevitable, it’s happened before, there is already a middle eastern cold war. If Iran is attacked it had very few means of retaliation
Argentina - Stop sabre rattling to take public minds of inflation
NHS Reform Bill - Government is rushing it, it’s major reform that sort of thing needs time. There is need for reform but not privatisation
As much as I support and respect the aims and reasons of the protestors ‘occupying’ Wall Street I am sorry but being maced and roughly handled/cuffed pales in comparison to other events currently on going. In Yemen protestors face tanks. Lets have some perspective, if NYPD was firing into crowds I’d be more sympathetic but being maced for protesting capitalistic greed is a very distant second to being shot dead for freedom.
I don’t like A Creature I Do Not Know as much as I Speak Because I Can.
I always liked New Order more than Joy Division.
I find this sort of thing hilarious. I’m sorry if it’s what you’re into, that’s fair enough! But there is something about it I just don’t get.
It all means nothing. The exams, the essays, the papers. Fuck all. So if you’re one of those people who stresses themselves out over getting into the ‘best’ school/college/university step back and look at the bigger picture. The only reason you’re pushing yourself is to get a good job. Why are you doing that? Because it’s been drummed into you. That or because all you’re interested in is making money.
If you’re sat there now saying “no it’s because I want to learn!” Bullshit, when are you ever going to use algebra, Location Quotients or reading skills. Ok you’ll need to read. But still there is no reason to flog yourself to death worrying about ‘failing’, not getting in to a Uni or passing advanced maths. I’ve done it myself, but as time goes by you realise there is always another level/tier of tests/exams/interviews to get past.
Anyway as humans one of the main features that sets us apart from other animals is our constant drive to learn, but I don’t think spending nearly 20 years memorising things and then regurgitating them on command in exams is the right way to go about it. There are better ways, any system that sets exams for children as young as 7 is flawed.
