  1. Dear American Government,

What the fuck are you doing messing around with copyright issues, you have an election coming up can’t you just busy yourself with that?  Or maybe sort your underlying social issues out like your lack of equality, health care and economy?  Perhaps end that 10 year war you dragged NATO into or perhaps work on the issue of the environment - that is always looming but perennially put off.  Shit could you not just go to the moon again?  That was a good thing right?

  2. Recording is so hard

I’d forgotten how much of a slog can be.  It’s part of the reason I’ve kept writing, putting off tracking stuff.  I love doing it but not in a box room when its 22C.  But it needs getting out the way.  I’m probably going to start talking about this more and more now so I appologise in advance, but as always I will still be posting my usual stuff.

So I got up early to teach so I was back early so I had some breakfast and I started work on the first track.  If I’m lucky I can get the bones of maybe 2 songs done in a day.  The first song was Song #2 I haven’t named it.  I wrote it last week, I started it last week and I was trying to be honest in it, but I think it just trails off.  Anyway I got the basics of that down.  I ended up spending like half an hour trying to record the perfect Glockenspiel melody line.  Another thing that always gets me when recording - it has to be peerfectly like I hear it in my mind.  Drives me mad.

I did a few more guide tracks and I’ll carry on with those tomorrow.  I’d rather be gigging than recording at the moment - and I hate gigging lol.
